Woo-Hoo, my friends! I am officially done with my Fundraising for Nonprofits courses. 16 weeks of courses to gain my CFRE credential through Cal Poly Humboldt. My hope is to eventually use this recent knowledge I have gained through these classes to help raise money for survivors and their families in their time of need.
Now I get to sit back and enjoy my winter. I love the holidays, but recently saw a post on social media from a stroke survivor that read:
This was (and still is) such an intense truth in my life as I’m sure it is in many survivor’s of brain trauma. I can never stress enough about the magnitude of changes that happen when a brain injury occurs, even if the sufferer looks the same as always. We can suffer from complete personality changes, high anxiety, sensory issues with sounds and lights, etc.
I am so thankful for the people in my life that have stopped to recognize these things in me since my VAD and multiple strokes. I have some wonderful and patient friends who were and still are so delicately patient and understanding of my personality changes. Please message me if you ever need support! I am here.
On a separate note, go and check out my Resources tab. I have added a recent episode of my favorite podcast that dives into Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection. It is very informative.
When I initially commented I appear to have clicked the -Notify me when new comments are added- checkbox and from now on every time a comment is added I receive four emails with the same comment. There has to be a way you can remove me from that service? Thank you!
This sure seems like spam. Not sure to be honest. I do not have a ‘Notify’ button to click that I can find. If this is real, please let me know and I will have to call and find out how to remove that service.
